MG – “Hey Warriors…Come out to play-eeeay! This is a fantastic cult classic, and really a hidden gem. I stumbled across this while in the US and had to add it to my collection. Set in late 1970’s New York, gangs far and wide have gathered in a bid to unite and as a solid body, and in turn take over the city. But when the Warriors are blamed for the murder of a gang leader, the odds are against them as they have to make their way home to the safety of their own turf, and fight to survive. The cast are great, all individually likeable with different traits and character, as you get to know their personalities along the way. I love the unique themed identities (and outfits) of the rival gangs and their night time crazy antics. The clever cinematography also has you in suspense, watching out for the characters, not knowing what might be around the next corner. Check it out!”
